Obituary for Heather Joy Turner

The bright spirit that was Heather left us for a better place August 13, 2012. She is survived by her beloved son, Cameron Lee Grose; mother and stepfather, Tamara & Joseph Jaudon, Jr.; father and step-mother, Robin & Hilda Turner; sister, Holly McConnell; niece and nephew Madison & Ryun McConnell; brother & sister-in-law, Anthony & Jennifer Turner,Uncle James Turner, Cooperstown, NY, and Aunt, Tonya(William) Blair, Mesa, AZ, bonus family Joseph III, Angelique & Joseph IV Jaudon; Jenifer, Neil, Ann-Beth, Joshua & Joseph Sandberg; and an army of relatives and dear friends. She was born in Denver, moved with her family to Dallas, TX, and then to Hobart, NY where she graduated from So. Kortright Central School. She returned to Denver, graduating from Metropolitan State College and the University of Denver College of Law. She served at the Adams County District Attorney’s Office, rising to Chief Trial Deputy D.A., as a fearless prosecutor, for 16 years. Heather faced great challenges with her mental health the last years of her life, but her warrior spirit kept her rising time after time, until she finally lost the battle.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 6:30 pm, August 23, Fairmount Mortuary Chapel, 430 So. Quebec, Denver, Co. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cameron Lee Grose Educational Trust, c/o Steele St. Bank & Trust, 55 Adams St., Denver, CO 80206.
