Joshua Monzel of Aurora CO, passed away on June 10, 2017. Josh was born on 8/17/85 to Sandra Monzel and Forrest Wishcop, in Grand Junction, CO. Josh and his mother move to Aurora in 1988. Josh attended schools in Aurora and was proud when he achieved his GED. He established some great friendships during his school years.

Some interests were music, video gaming, reading, bowling, camping, and playing chess. He played baseball during his school years, liked to travel especially to Hawaii and South Carolina, he liked to draw and was a avid Bronco fan. He enjoyed movie night with his mother- ordering a pizza or his mom's spaghetti dinner. He played Aggravation and Scrabble with Grandma Myrtle for hours. He spent many summers in Nebraska at Lake McConaughy, fishing with his Grandparents, he always enjoyed the time he spent there. He loved going to Bingo with his Grandma June. Josh loved animals, birds and wildlife. Took many day trips with his Mother and Granny to the mountains to view wildlife. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays, Halloween was a favorite. He loved his family and was loved by his family and will missed by many. Always in our hearts and may you rest in peace Josh.

Josh was taken too soon, by a tragic accident and the following are feeling the loss of this young man. Josh is survived by mother Sandi Monzel of Aurora CO, Granny Mary Lou Barefoot, of Walterboro SC, Grandparents Bruce and June Wishcop of San Tan Valley AZ, stepmother-Terry (Kevin) Bolte of Lindsborg KS, brother-Brendon Wishcop of Mesa AZ, sister-Bryanna (Michael) Williams of Manhatten KS; Uncle-Charles (Terry, Austen Chelsea) Monzel of Bluffton SC, Aunt Carole (Cody, Brooke) Lewis of Walterboro SC; great Aunts-Marjorie Edwards of Grand Junction CO, Lisa Edwards of Franktown CO, Ann Edwards of Delta CO, Earlene (Don) Hickman of Grand Junction CO, and Linda Hupert of Fruita CO; great-Uncles David Westerlund of Fruita CO, JD Warren of Hamilton MT, Steve (Becky) Wishcop of Loveland CO. Connie Yekovich and Kris Coe and Lauren (Brian) Cheney were like family to Josh. Numerous cousins and school friends-Bobby Coady, Matthew Farrel, Brian Facinne, Breann Wonka, Amanda Eiseman, Travis Lovato, Mike Fritz, Tim Salaz, and Dave Paulson. Many others who consider him to be family and loved him.

Josh was preceded in death by his father Forrest Wishcop, great-grand parents Charles and Myrtle Edwards, and Art and Helen Sundquist, great-uncles Thomas Edwards and James Edwards, great-aunt Mable Westerlund and cousin-Michaela Kahle.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 pm at the Fairmount Mortuary, Little Ivy Chapel on July 9th.

Memorial contributions may be made in Josh's memory to Aurora Mental Health.
