Lee proudly graduated from the Naval Academy in 1953. He then toured post-war Europe and the Middle East with the Air Force as a First Lieutenant. Upon completing his tour of duty, he moved to Denver to raise a family and pursue his love of the law obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 1962. Upon passing the bar, he faithfully served and worked tirelessly for 55 years to uphold the Law and Constitution for the City of Denver.

Always extremely proud of his Greek heritage, he devoted much of his life to the Greek Orthodox Church and was honored in 1999 with the Archon Cross by his holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for his outstanding service as a distinguished leader of the Orthodox Christian Community. To advance the growth and culture of the Greek Community, he joined the order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association). As a devoted member, he was honored to serve in the two highest positions: Chapter President and Supreme Chairman. He was also elevated to the 32nd degree within the order of Freemasonry.

Lee will eternally be remembered in our hearts for his love of family, compassion, generous spirit, beautiful laugh, humor, loyalty, stories, and always making sure that Santa made personal visits to the delight and joy of the young and old alike.
