The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Kuna can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: You were a kind person and awesome neighbor. You are missed. Our memories have to do with our children growing up. You and Chris living across the street just always brought us comfort. When we were at work or away from our home we knew you were there."Chris & Rich across the street", words often said at our home while the kids were growing up. We thank you for your kindness and friendship.

Condolence: Rich has been a dear friend since 1969, beginning when we were serving in the U.S. Army together at Fitzsimmons Medical Center in Aurora CO. That is 50 years ago and is hard to believe. While we were at Fitzsimmons Medical Center Rich and I were in the same barracks; but he rarely slept there, although his bunk and locker were always ready for inspection, as he was secretly living off base. What I found out later was that Rick lived off base with friends at a house on Josephine street right near the Denver University campus. Living there versus in the barracks was, without question, a much better situation. Rich was in the finance group at Fitzsimmons and I was a Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech). We both had similar hours to work so one day Rich asked me if I would be interested in living off base at Josephine House. My answer was quick, YES! 😊 So, our friendship began and developed over the years.
Rich was my best man at Bonnie and my wedding in 1976. And I thank God for it, as were getting married out side at Mount Vernon Gardens in Washington Park and the sprinklers came on shortly before the ceremony. Rich jumped into action and found a grounds keeper and low in behold everything went perfectly. Now, almost 43 years ago this June, Rich saved the day!
Although later in my life my career took me away from Colorado with several corporate moves, Rich and Chris have always been dear to us and wish now we would have seen each other more often. I will miss Richard Kuna a lot and know how hard it must be for Chris too. God Bless Rich and my he Rest in Peace. And our prayers go out to Chris and his friend and family as well but know Rich is in a better place and is no longer suffering from the body that was failing him.
God Bless you my FRIEND!

Condolence: My condolences to you all for the loss of your loved one Richard. May these scriptures bring you all a measure of comfort and hope during this difficult time.

Revelation 21: 3, 4
With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
