Momma and I had a standing joke about the "leisurely drives" we took on nice sunny days and the opportunity to get out of the house for awhile. Undoubtedly, with me at the wheel, we would end up in the middle of no where among fields and pastures somewhere in the country. And of course, I had no idea where we were at and Momma and I would laugh as we tried to manuvuer our way back home. I would describe our surroundings as we drove and tell her what the signs said. Momma would always tell me " Gee Whiz I didn't want to drive to Kansas!" We would be laughing so hard I am not sure how I was able to keep driving at times.
The happiness we felt and the joy to be able to spend time together, even if it was doing something silly like getting lost, which happened frequently I might add, will always be with me. "Making memories" with Momma was always an adventure, and I will cherish those times I had with her forever! I love you Momma!
