The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joshua Monzel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Josh and his jeep

Josh spent a lot of time with me and his PaPa at Lake McCounaughy. We had a place up there so went up on weekends to get awhile from Denver. Since his Mom worked on weekends, he would go with us in fact, that's the place that Josh got potty trained. He just loved going outside and dropping his shorts and letting it fly. No one was around for acres so it was just fine with us plus a great training aid. I also love the picture of Josh in the boat with his hair flying in the breeze. He loved going fishing and he caught quite a few fish too. Now for the jeep. A lot of times we would bring things from Denver for our neighbor, Roy. Josh just loved having us load the items in his jeep and drive his jeep to Roy's and make a delivery. Roy's house was right behind ours. There wasn't but just a few places up at the lake so very peaceful. We also had a garden up there and Josh and our other grandkids would plant corn, pumpkin and lots of other things. Josh also spent a lot of time with his PaPa too. He had this little yellow lawn chair and he would sit next to PaPa while he worked on the drip line or whatever it was. As the grandkids grew older, they all would spend time lots of time on the beach, either swimming, fishing, jet skiing or boating. They always had such a good time there. We miss all those fun years just as much as we are going to miss you, Josh.    Love you, Grandma and PaPa
